SavethePage
For years, I’ve carried the same question every time I pick up a coffee cup: “How can we stop this waste?” We all know the reality. Paper cups are difficult to recycle, and millions end up in landfills every day. But one day, I looked more closely at the cardboard sleeve in my hand. It’s paper. It has texture. And we hold it for 15–20 minutes—far longer than we look at most advertisements. That’s when a simple idea came to me: What if this wasn’t just trash, but a canvas? What if, instead of throwing it away, you kept it as a bookmark? That question became a project. I’m now launching Project Save the Page, an initiative that transforms single-use coffee sleeves into collectible bookmarks—while supporting local artists and bringing small cultural moments into everyday life. 🔨 Right now, I’m building the very first prototype. I’m experimenting with textures, perforation lines, and materials to make sure it feels natural, useful, and worth keeping. It’s a small piece of paper, but I believe it can spark a meaningful change—starting here in Vancouver. I’m currently looking for local cafés and artists who would like to collaborate on this journey. If you’re interested, I’d love to connect.
